Wound repair Workshops
Specialist Surgeons will discuss the concepts of each procedure and then demonstrate them in a step-by-step fashion. Delegates will repeat each of these steps on their own pig trotter. A video camera will be directed onto the Specialist’s trotter and the procedure projected onto the overhead screen. Pig’s trotters, disposable scalpels and sutures will be provided for each participant. Delegates are encouraged to bring their own needle holder, forceps, skin hook, scissors and marker pen. Please note that surgical instruments are not allowed as hand luggage on airplanes. (Disposable suture kits will be available, but the quality of these kits is not ideal for fine suturing)
