Prof. Kittler conducted the first ground breaking study of long term digital monitoring of naevi and is considered the world authority on sequential dermoscopy imaging. He regularly lectures at the International Graz Short Course in Dermoscopy and is an extremely experienced and articulate clinical educator.

Dr. Marghoob has published many acclaimed papers on topics related to malignant melanoma, dysplastic nevi, congenital melanocytic nevi, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. A/Prof. Menzies is well known to Australian skin cancer doctors, as his Atlas of Surface Microscopy of Pigmented Skin Lesions has become the bible of modern day skin cancer practice. Besides creating of the Menzies Scoring Method for melanoma diagnosis and writing numerous world class papers and books on skin cancer diagnosis, A/Prof Menzies is a masterful and enthralling lecturer who never fails to inspire his audience.

Prof. David Weedon’s expertise is acknowledged locally, nationally and internationally. He is a senior partner at Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology and has produced three editions of his acclaimed book ‘Skin Pathology’. His book is used exclusively in many US and European universities and hospitals, and is one of the most widely consulted medical texts of its type. The last edition was also published in Spanish. His contribution to dermatopathology is unparalleled. Currently, David not only works full time at our Taringa Laboratory but also provides second opinions on diagnostically difficult cases referred from laboratories within Australia and overseas. He is Senior Visiting Pathologist at Royal Brisbane Hospital. David is a member of several national medical and pathology committees, and has been President of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (RCPA) and the Federal A.M.A. In 2003 he was made an Honorary Fellow of the College of Amercian Pathologists for services to dermatopathology. In 2005 he was awarded the prestigeous Founders Award from the American Society of Dermatopathology.

Dr Richard Williamson joined Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology in January 2003. He did his pathology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, and continued there as a Staff Specialist for five years. In 1999 Richard was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to study molecular diagnosis of solid tumours in the USA, and subsequently spent time in San Francisco with Professor LeBoit studying dermatopathology. While dermatopathology remains his special interest, he also has particular expertise in soft tissue and bone tumours, and lymph node pathology.
